Several weeks ago I came across a great video from Microsoft on the history of business intelligence. The author is Nic Smith who is from Microsoft BI Solutions Marketing.

If you have just watched it, then you will have seen that it is leading into what Microsoft sees as the future of BI. Based on the clarity of vision and communication in the video, is this another indication that the traditional mega-vendors (IBM, Oracle and SAS) should be worried?
